Chennai: Burglars struck at the house of a businessman at Anna Nagar here. The incident came to light when the family’s domestic help came to the house and found the locked door broke open.
According to sources, Sathyanarayana (51) lived in First Avenue in Anna Nagar. The family owns an automobile showroom in the city.
On 1 February, they had gone to their native place in Andhra Pradesh. The family’s maid Kuppamma came to clean the house and found the door open.
Sathyanarayana told police that they had kept nearly 100 sovereigns of gold in their house. Anna Nagar police are inquiring the case.
