New Delhi: Responding to the terror attack in Pulwama, in which 37 CRPF personnel were killed, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday warned Pakistan that the attack will not weaken India and those responsible will have to pay a very heavy price.
Speaking at a function to flag off a new semi-high speed train from Delhi to Varanasi, Modi said security forces will be given complete freedom to crack down on terrorism. He further said the blood of the people is boiling.
“My condolences to families of those martyred in the Pulwama attack, those behind the terror strike will pay a very heavy price,” Modi said. “I am thankful to all nations which condemned the Pulwama attack and urge them to come together to crush terrorism,” he said.
He further stated that the neighbouring country thought terror attacks such as this could weaken India but their plans will not materialise.
A Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) suicide bomber rammed a vehicle loaded with over 100 kg of explosives into a bus carrying Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel in Pulwama district yesterday.
Apart from the 37 CRPF personnel who were killed, five were injured in the incident. The suicide bomber was identified as Adil Ahmed, who had joined the Pakistan-based JeM in 2018. The terror group has claimed responsibility for the suicide attack.
