Chennai: Vellore’s J Naveen (7/13) scalped seven wickets to skittle out Villupuram for a paltry 39 on the opening day of the TNCA Inter-Districts Under-19 cricket tournament (Round 2) match.

Villupuram was bundled out in 13.2 overs in the first innings, thanks to Naveen’s seven-wicket haul. At stumps, Vellore was 69 for three in the second innings, leading by a mammoth 304 runs. Earlier, Vellore was all-out for 274 in 64.3 overs, with S Akash top-scoring for it with 87 runs. In another encounter, Thiruvallur’s S Aravind (5/23) took five wickets to bowl out Erode for 125.
