Chennai: R Adhitya (5/31) took five wickets as Santhome HSS beat DAV Public School ‘A’ by 87 runs in the TNCA City Schools (Under-14) tournament for the B Somasundaram Trophy.
Batting first, VS Karthick Manikandan (126) struck a century to guide Santhome to a decent total of 236 for eight in its 50 overs. In the second innings, Adhitya helped the winner bowl out DAV for 149 in 47.4 overs. In another match, take M Rushil Kumar (123) blasted a ton to take St Patrick’s AIHSS to a one-wicket victory over Nellai Nadar MHSS ‘A’.
