The latest update on Varmaa starring debut actor and Vikram’s son, Dhruv in the lead is that cinematographer Ravi K Chandran has been roped in as the Director of Photography.

Varmaa – the official remake of the Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy which starred Vijay Devarakonda was caught in a web because director Bala walked out of the project as the makers were not happy with the final version of the film. With Dhruv’s future at stake and the film staring into the abyss, the filmmakers received a big boost with the acclaimed cinematographer  Ravi K Chandran agreeing to be part of it.

Taking to Twitter, Ravi shared the news: “Not only For my dear friends #Kenny and @e4echennai  but for young & super talented #DhruvVikram .. incidentally my son @dop_santha currently shooting #KabirSingh the Hindi remake of #ArjunReddy.._/\_ ”

Interestingly, Ravi K Chandran’s son Santhana Krishna is currently working as the DOP in the Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy, titled Kabir Singh. The Hindi version stars Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in lead roles and is directed by Sandeep Vanga, who directed the Telugu version as well.

Varmaa, produced by E4 Entertainment also stars Banita Sandhu in lead roles. The rest of the cast and crew haven’t been announced yet.
