New Delhi: On Tuesday, the apex court dismissed an appeal questioning the order of appointing M Nageswara Rao as interim CBI Director.
The case was heard by the bench of Justices – Arun Mishra and Navin Sinha ruled that it does not require further interference as the official has been appointed as a full time CBI Director. The plea was filed by Common Cause, an NGO, that questioned the move.
Meanwhile, on 4 February, Rishi Kumar Shukla, an IPS officer of 1983-batch, assumed position of CBI as a full-fledged director.
