Students and teachers of Panchayat Union Primary School, Kannagi Nagar, felicitated A Nithya Shree, a class five student, for bagging the gold medal in the district-level Open Martial Arts Championship 2019.
She won the award under the 21-25 kg category event held on 15 February at Poonchery, Mamallapuram.
Head mistress Jaya Bharathi and Block Education Officer Robert William, were present.
Nithya has also won a gold medal in the 16-20 kg category in 2018 at the National Open Martial Arts Championship.
