Popular Telugu actor Mohan Babu has been asked to play a pivotal role in Mani Ratnam’s dream project Ponniyin Selvan.
Sources say that the movie would go on the floors early next year and some big names are being discussed for the project.
This will be Mani Ratnam’s next directorial venture after Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and he is penning the screenplay. The project is very much active. The film will go on the floors in January 2020, say sources.
Mani Ratnam has approached Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Vijay Sethupathi and Amitabh Bachchan also to act in the film.
