Chennai: Admissions are now open for DAV Group of Institutions’ Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) for the academic year 2019-2020.
The PGCE and NTT, are both teacher training programmes, as part of DAV Guru Shikshanam, the centre for teaching by the DAV Group of Schools, Chennai. After a successful year, the institution is opening admissions for its second year, said a press release.
The full-time intensive programmes will be spread across 10 months starting June 2019. It will train students with both practical and theoretical knowledge to effectively handle classes from nursery to higher-secondary education.
The PGCE Programme will cater to classes I-X and the NTT programme will cater to Kindergarten. The fees for PGCE is Rs 80,000 and for NTT is Rs 25,000. The classes for PGCE will be conducted from Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 5.15 pm.
The NTT classes will also be conducted Monday to Friday between 9 am and 2 pm. Application for both PGCE and NTT are available online at www.davchennai.org. People will Bachelor’s degree in any stream can apply. There will be a presentation and open interactive session on the courses from 17 March at DAV Boys, Gopalapuram.
