Chennai: The Kalimark Group, and Palaniunna Foods (sister concern of Kalimark) launched a new product, namely She’d Chef Corn Rava.
The corn-based product will be available for consumers soon, said officials at an event held in city on Wednesday. Brand ambassador chef Damodaran launched the product while joint managing director, Kalimark Group Companies, J Ramesh, was present.
Addressing mediapersons, Kalimark Group Companies chairman, K P R Dhanushkodi, said, “Over five lakh hectare of agricultural lands come under this crop with a yield of over 25 lakh tonnes. This will be our contribution to the farmers of the State.”
“With 33 per cent additional fibre content than normal rava, the new product is rich in nutrition, prevents 13 types of illnesses and battles even Alzheimer’s disease,” said food consultant Pasupathi.
For producing the product the firm has setup a plant at Perambalur at the cost of Rs 6 crore. She’d Corn Rava is available across the State and is available in 500 grams packs at the price of Rs 30.
