Hyderabad: In a fresh row over electricity dues, Andhra Pradesh power utilities owe Rs 2,406 crore to them towards power supply dues said TS Transco and Genco CMD D Prabhakar Rao yesterday.
AP utilities unilaterally took a decision to file a case in the National Company Law Tribunal, stating that Telangana owes them about Rs 5,000 crore, alleged Rao while taking part in a press conference.
He claimed that there may have been a miscommunication among officials and as per Telangana’s calculation, their AP counterpart owes them Rs 2,406 crore.
Prabhakar further pointed out that Telangana power companies were willing settle the issue amicably if Andhra Pradesh comes forward but the AP power utilities never responded to Telangana’s requests to settle the disputes.
