Young Patriots, an NGO comprising youngsters in West Mambalam, recently organised a talent festival- ‘Thiramai Thiruvizha’, where over 1000 participants of different ages took part in various games and won prizes.
A press release said, 46 events with free entry, were conducted at selected locations and children from the age of three, along with their family members, participated.
The programme that was jointly organised by Seva Bharathi and Nallor Vattam, saw Ladies Special editor Girija Raghavan, presiding over the valedictory function in the presence of Swami Vimurthananthar of Sri Ramakrishna Math.
‘President’ award winner Sankara Subramanian (Inspector, Anti-corruption and Vigilance), Nallor Vattam’s Balasubramanian and Rajkumar, regional co-ordinator of Seva Bharati, were special invitees.
The dignitaries presented prizes and medals to the winners and runners at the venue. Selvam, joint co-ordinator of Thiramai Thiruvizha compered the entire programme and Young Patriot’s Suresh welcomed the gathering.
