The Mylapore Trio – Amarnath, Surendranath and Aparna, along with Sugathan celebrated Sri Sumukhi Rajasekharan Memorial Foundation’s 16th Anniversary and the commemoration of the 13th year Kala Poshakam at Narada Gana Sabha on 22 February at Narada Gana Sabha.
According to a release, during the occasion, the Mylapore Trio conferred the title ‘Palkalai Vitthagi’ to Sree Rudra for her versatility and multi-faceted achievements in performing arts, fine arts and academic arts during the foundation’s Margazhi Bala Utsavams and Balar Chithirai Kalai Vizhas all through these years. She was also presented the all-rounder award with a Citation and trophy.
The occasion also saw Sugathan and his sister Swathy presenting a Thematic Bharathanatyam titled ‘Vasantha Panchami’ on Goddess Saraswathy which was penned, compiled and sung Revathy Sankkaran.
