Cable laying works are going on at Vanagaram Main Road near Dunlop factory in the wake of the city Corporation’s bid to change overhead cables to underground electric lines.
“The move is welcome as finally, Ambattur will look like city that has not been under neglect. What’s more it will improve safety as well. We need not worry about cabled dangling around having cut loose during rainy season,” said Lokesh, a resident.
Last week, News Today reported that underground cable lines are being laid at Cholambedu Main Road.
