Chennai: A day after Makkal Needhi Maiam chief Kamal Haasan releasing a video advising how the State government should handle Pollachi case, ‘Namadhu Amma’, the party organ of the AIADMK came out with an article lashing out at Kamal Haasan.
The article ‘Kama Haasanu and Kathakalatshebamum’ alleged that Kamal Haasan is trying to spread misinformation on the government. Offenders have been arrested and Goondas Act have been slapped on them. The case has been handed over to CBI. Strict action is being taken. When such is the scenario, we wonder why Kamal Haasan is making the noise. He has been making such noise only keeping an eye on the elections, the article said.
It even criticised Kamal Haasan as one individual who secretly was happy at the demise of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
In a four-minute video uploaded on social media, Makkal Needhi Maiam leader Kamal Haasan said, “When the world joined together to raise their voice against the violence inflicted on Nirbhaya, the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamilnadu issued a statement saying, “Crimes inflicted on women will be considered very serious crimes and the highest cadre of Policemen will investigate the case. How can the government following the footsteps of that woman (former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa), be so careless and complacent in this case?”
