Tirupati: In a shocking incident, a three-month-old baby boy was stolen from a couple at the Lord Venkateswara temple complex in Tirumala yesterday.
According to media reports, the couple hailed from Villupuram in Tamilnadu. They were making a living by selling beads and chains for devotees and they had been coming to the hill shrine for the last three years.
They lodged a complaint with the police after noticing their child missing. The police then scanned CCTV footage near the spot and found a woman carrying away their child at around 3 am.
The hunt was on for the woman and photographs and footage were released to the media and posted on the social media also.
