Udhagamandalam: Goondas Act order was served to K V Sayan, one of the two key accused in the Kodanadu murder and heist case, yesterday and he was sent to the Coimbatore central jail where he is lodged.

The detention order was signed by District collector Innocent Divya on Thursday night. Sayan and nine others were arrested on the charges of murdering a security guard at Kodanadu estate owned by former chief minister of Tamilnadu late J Jayalalithaa.

On 6 March, Sayan and K C Manoj had filed a plea seeking quashing of a lower court order cancelling their bail and the Madras High Court had dismissed it.
