Confident Delhi ready for Punjab battle

Chennai: After a nail-biting Super Over win over Kolkata Knight Riders last night, Delhi Capitals is getting ready to face a stiff challenge from Ashwin-led Kings XI. The latter scored an emphatic victory over Mumbai Indians. K L Rahul and Mayank Agarwal ensured they defeat Mumbai Indians last night.

With not much tinkering expected, both the teams will be fielding the same side. Rahul, who had anchored the innings well initially , finally took it upon himself to finish the innings with 60 still needed after Mayank’s departure. He got a six and a four off the 15th over bowled by Hardik before bringing up his fifty in the next over. Mumbai Indians’ challenge was killed with this knock as KXIP eased to an eight-wicket win with as many balls to spare. Ashwin must be happy at the way Murugan Ashwin bowled and picked those tow crucial wickets.

For Delhi, good knock by the young Prithvi Shaw was th higlight in the last game. Kagiso Rabada also showed his bowling prowess in the Super Over, bowling searing yorkers, helping the team defend lowest ever super over score. With Nepalese leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane also playing last game, Kings XI Punjab will be wary of the challenge the DC bowling line-up will pose. Unbeaten yeat in Mohali ever since Ashwin became the skipper, KXIP will look to continue their winning streak at home.
