Chennai: Riding on centuries from three of its batsmen, Jolly Rovers took a sizeable lead against Vijay CC on the final day of the seventh round of the TNCA First Division League.

B Aparajith continued his purple patch slamming his fourth ton of the season 117 (229b, 11×4, 2×6). Wicket-keeper Smit Patel was the second batsman to reach the three-figure mark scoring 111 (181b, 15×4), his first this season, and along with Aparajith, he added 221 runs for the second wicket in 64.1 overs.

Later, Ankeet Bawane struck a quickfire unbeaten 100 (114b, 8×4, 1×6) to register his second century of the season. By virtue of taking the first innings lead, Rovers received five points to Vijay’s two.
