Kuppathu Raja, starring G V Prakash, Parthiepan and Palak Lalwani, will be out 5 April. Directed by choreographer Baba Bhaskar and produced by S Focuss Productions, the movie is based on real-life incidents.
Speaking about the film, Baba Bhaskar says, “I thank GV Prakash for giving me an opportunity to direct a film. When I narrated the script to him, he was impressed and readily agreed to do the movie. Parthiepan has done a great job and Yogi Babu does not just excel in comedy but also has emotional scenes to do in Kuppathu Raja.”
For his part, G V Prakash said, “Baba Bhaskar was a taskmaster on the sets. He made sure everyone gave their best before the camera. He is bubbly and energetic. When he narrated the story to me and my character, I was doubtful whether I could pull it off. Thanks to his inputs, I managed to give a convincing act.”
“Baba Bhaskar has made a film based on what he has seen and experienced as a person in his life. Although the trailer might give an impression of a commercial movie, there is a strong story. Working with Bala and Rajeev Menon projected me in different and unique shades,” he added.
