Chennai:Ā Vijay CC’s Rahil Shah helped dismiss CromBest for a modest score of 91 in the eighth round of the TNCA First Division League here on Friday.

Rahil Shah, the left-arm spinner registered a six-wicket haul in the process and what was more impressive was that all his wickets came in a single spell. He bowled well in tandem with skipper and off-spinner Malolan Rangarajan, who took four for 25.

Vijay’s batsmen fared slightly better scoring 177 and taking a lead of 86 runs with wicket-keeper N Jagadeesan scoring 53 (72b, 4×4, 2×6) while J Kousik remained unbeaten on 54 (86b, 6×4, 1×6).

CromBest is in danger of suffering an innings defeat as it was struggling in its second innings at 53 for five with Rahil taking three for 27.
