Chennai: Rahil Shah bagged a scintillating 10-wicket haul as Vijay CC completed a 10-wicket win over CromBest in the TNCA First Division League here on Saturday.

Left-arm spinner Rahil Shah’s match haul of 10 for 81 was a memorable one for the 33-year-old as he touched the 500-wicket mark in the First Division spread across 12 seasons.

Rahil , who took six wickets in the first innings, took four for 43 in the second. Vijay CC reached its target of 29 in only 4.1 overs with all its wickets intact.

Meanwhile, Jolly Rovers reached a position of strength thanks to B Aparajith who remained unbeaten on 205 (301b, 15×4, 1×6), his second double century of the season, to help his team declare at a mammoth 534 for seven against MCC. Aparajith added 127 runs in 35.2 overs with R Sonu Yadav 70 (123b, 7×4) for the fifth wicket. At stumps on day two, MCC reached 113 for one.
