Chennai: Two more persons have been arrested in the St Thomas mount murder case by the city police yesterday.
Police arrested Karthik (28) and Yuvaraj (29) who live in St Thomas Mount. It maybe noted that the duo along with Anand Kumar who is already in police custody had murdered Boopesh few days ago. They buried the body at Kalaignar Nagar in St Thomas Mount.
The people in the area reported to the police that three men had come to that forest areas in a drugged condition. The city police received complaints regarding this from Village Administrative Officer, Suresh and Pallavaram Thasildar Hemalatha. The police arrived at the spot found a newly dug up mound and dug it up again found the body of a man. A team of police led by Assistant Commissioner Govindaraj inquired the case.
With CCTV footage police arrested Anand kumar of Adambakkam. He told police that Boopesh was their friend and fought among themselves under the influence of drugs in which Boopesh died. Anand, who is already on the police list for several law and order cases had shared the murder visuals on Whatsapp.
The police tried tracking the members of the WhatsApp group but found that all of them had switched off their mobiles.
