Chennai: The other side of Municipal Administration Minister S P Velumani came to light after the senior AIADMK politician tweeted about Mumbai Indian’s stand in captain Pollard’s innings in the match against KXIP in IPL yesterday.

The Minister tweeted, “31 balls 83 runs, Polar simply superb, great match.” This tweet became the talk of twitteratti after several users evinced surprise.

While a few questioned what the Minister was doing watching a match when he was supposed to be canvassing for the Lok Sabha elections, a few commented that it was Velumani’s admin who had posted the tweet.

On a light note, a user even posted a remark that the Minister was anti-Chennai as he was supporting MI and not CSK.
To the surprise of twitteratti, Velumani replied to one of the users, “I like jallikattu as well as cricket. For several years, I have a team that trains and plays in my father’s name. Now jallikattu is being conducted in Coimbatore as well.”
