Reports have emerged that Mani Ratnam has zeroed in on Madonna Sebastian and music composer turned actor GV Prakash for his next venture ‘Vaanam Kotatum’.
Sources say Mani Ratnam will not be directing the movie and will only be bankrolling the film through his production company Madras Talkies.
The ace director, however, has penned the story of the film and his former associate Dhana would be directing it. The film also has Vikram Prabhu and Aishwarya Rajesh as the other two lead characters.
Sources say that Madonna plays Vikram Prabhu’s pair in the film and Aishwarya Rajesh will be seen as his sister. Filming will commence July.
Govind Vasantha of 96 fame will compose music and Preetha Jayaraman will crank the camera.
Remember, Mani Ratnam’s Agni Natchathiram was based on the relationship between siblings and so was Chekka Chivantha Vaanam. Vaanam Kotatum is expected to be based on the bond between Vikram Prabhu and sister character Aishwarya Rajesh.
