Chennai: After the raft of memes about former TNCC president K V Thangkabalu’s mis-translation of Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s speech at Nagercoil, the party has changed the translator.
Rahul Gandhi will be campaigning today in Tamilnadu in four places – Salem, Krishnagiri, Theni and Tiruparankundram. Since he would be addressing the public rallies in English, he needs a translator.
This time, the party has chosen the retired professor of Madurai Gandhigram University, Prof Palanidurai, to translate his speeches.
Thangkabalu’s translation was hilarious and he messed up the whole show, leading to the birth of several memes the last time Rahul Gandhi was in Tamilnadu.
