2019 general elections: Sivakarthikeyan narrowly misses voting

Chennai: While many actors and actresses cast their vote in the 2019 general elections this morning, there were some who missed the photo op.

That is because their names were missing in the voters list.

Among the disappointed lot was actor Sivakarthikeyan when he went to vote in the booth at Good Shepherd school in Chennai. But he later found that his name was in the Sriperumbudur constituency and rushed to vote there. Finally, he published a picture of his inked finger on Twitter.

Another actor who found his name missing was Ramesh Khanna. Refusing to without making a noise, he said, “Do we need another Sarkar?” He was referring to the Vijay-starrer Sarkar, where the hero comes all the way from America to vote and finds that somebody has already cast his vote. He begins a revolution to unseat the government calling it ‘oru viral puratchi’.

Robo Shankar and singer Srinivasan also did not cast their vote as their names were not in the electoral list.
