Chennai: AIADMK today filed a complaint with Election Commission (EC) alleging that Central Chennai DMK candidate Dayanidhi Maran violated model code of conduct after casting his vote by addressing mediapersons urging people to vote for change today.
In a press release here, the AIADMK said, “This morning after casting his vote at a government school in Nandanam (Ward 122), Dayanidhi spoke to press asking people to vote for change, which clearly means that he is trying to influence people to vote for him”. They urged the EC to issue a showcause notice to Dayanidhi and file a case against him for violating model code of conduct.
