Hyderabad: Congress MLA from Bhupalapally in Telangana Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy quit the party joined TRS yesterday.
Reddy’s decision is a major setback to the Congress as he is the 11th MLA from the party to quit and join the TRS. He met the Telangana Rashtra Samithi’s working president K T Rama Rao.
Reddy issued a statement appreciating the development and welfare initiatives taken by the TRS government and that he had decided to join the TRS after consulting all his well-wishers.
It is to be noted that the Congress had won 19 Assembly seats among the total 119 in the assembly polls held in December last.
