Tirupati: The Tirupati police yesterday arrested a man who is believed to have stolen three golden crowns from the ancient Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple in February and retrieved the 1.3kg melted gold from him.
The gold was later handed over to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), said media reports.
