Chennai: The recent road works at CTH Road have solved one issue, bad roads, and has paved way for another, state residents. Authorities have dumped the milled tar at the roadside, they claim.
“Before the polls, there was a frantic effort from officials to lay new roads. They milled the old tarmac and laid a new coat. But the debris they collected have been left at the side of CTH Road which is bad. If authorities do not clear it, residents who will start constructing houses in summer might do the same. They need to act better,” said Kamal, a resident.
