Chennai: British premium bike brand Triumph Motorcycles launched the 1200cc Speed Twin motorcycle at an introductory price of Rs 9.46 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India).
The bike comes powered by a liquid-cooled, 1,200cc parallel twin engine from the Thruxton that Triumph says has been updated for the new motorcycle. It produces a smidgen over 95 bhp and 112 Nm and comes paired with a six speed gearbox.
The bike has a new frame, 41mm Kayaba shocks up front and twin shock absorbers at the rear with pre-load adjustment. Braking duties are taken care of by twin 305mm disc brakes at front and a 220mm caliper at the back.
There are ABS and traction control as standard and there are three riding modes namely rain, road and sport.
