Namakkal: In yet another development in the case of illegal infants kidnap case in Rasipuram, the ambulance driver and Amudhavalli’s husband have been suspended.
Recently, an audio surfaced on social media that gave way to unearth the trafficking case. The policemen during the inquiry identified that the retired nurse Amudhavalli, with the aid of her husband, Ravichandran, who works as an assistant at Rasipuram Cooperative society, were involved in selling the babies acquiring from below poverty line couples.
A total of 14 infants were sold by them. Soon after the inquiry, they were detained by the cops. The inquiry further revealed that Murugesan, an ambulance driver attached to Kollimalai Primary Health Centre, private nurses Parveen, Haseena, Nisha, Arulsami brokered the deal who were also arrested. Police is also tracing the couple who bought the infants.
