Chennai: The Tamilnadu Directorate of School Education has announced it will soon send notices to sack around 1,500 teachers from government-aided schools who have not cleared the teacher eligibility test (TET) before the 31 March deadline.
“As per the direction of the court, we will issue a show cause notice and then dismiss them from service, as they do not have mandatory TET qualification. Details pertaining to the court order will be sent as a report to all district education officers,” officials from the school education department said.
