“Every actor’s dream is to play a police officer. I am happy that 100 happened so early in my career,” says actor Atharvaa.

100 starring Atharvaa as a cop releases 9 May. Directed by Sam Anton, the movie stars Hansika Motwani as the heroine. Music is by Sam CS.

Speaking about the film, Atharvaa says, “The dramatic events in the film will definitely be impressive and I believe the audience will enjoy the show.”

Excerpts from his interview

Q: Why did you choose to do 100?
A: Every actor would love to do a cop thriller. I was thrilled when Sam Anton narrated an engaging script. It has a serious premise and lots of elements that will engross the audience. It is about those officers in the control room, whom we reach in times of distress by dialing 100.

Q: On sharing the screen with Hansika…
A: She is a wonderful co-star. A bundle of energy. I was comfortable working with her. She has done her role perfectly.

Q: How difficult it was to don khakhi?
A: It was a challenge. An actor can do such roles only if he is convinced that he can pull it off. I thank my director for giving me the confidence. From body language to dialogue delivery, everything was comfortable once I felt at ease wearing the police uniform. I had to keep myself fit to get my act right.

Q: How do you take success and failures?
A: I give my best for each and every film. My commitment remains the same. The verdict is not in my hands. In case of a failure, I just learn my lessons being part of the project and put them to good use in my subsequent films.
