Chennai: A summer workshop for children – Dasavathar to Darwin – will be conducted till 9 May in Golden Colony, Mugappair, Chennai.
A press release said, “At the summer workshop Dasavathar to Darwin, kids get to dive into the wonderful world of mythology and get introduced to scientific thinking through the spiritual world. With amazing stories, children get to lots of fun in an inspiring environment and a library dedicated to mythology.”
The press release also stated the reason behind the workshops name. It said, “A 100 years ago, Darwin’s Theory of Evolution was the biggest subject debated in the history of science. But, this advanced concept was well defined in the puranic story of the Dasavathar. It is not surprising that all the 10 incarnations of Lord Vishnu fit into the scientific chronology of the creation and the evolution of the Universe.”
“The workshop will teach children mythology with values and lessons and also the scientific evolution through role plays, games, crosswords, puzzles, narrations and fun activities,” it added. The Dasavathar to Darwin workshop is for children from age 6 to 14.
