Monster is a hilarious entertainer based on real life incidents with rats, said filmmaker Nelson Venkatesan. Starring S J Suryah and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead roles, the movie has music by Justin Prabhakaran.
“The highlight of the movie is that a rat plays Suryah’s antagonist’, Nelson Vengadesan said and added, ‘All credits to S J Suryah for playing a complex role with ease”.
On his part, Suryah, said, “When I heard the script, I found it interesting. I enjoyed shooting for Monster. They shot with the rat alone for about 20 days. It was a really an inexplicable task and editing those portions to suit the situation was all the more challenging.” Interestingly Monster is the first film of S J Suryah that got a clean ‘U’ certificate.
Priya Bhavani Shankar on her part said, ‘I was happy to work with Suryah. Initially, I was even afraid of SJ Suryah as I have heard that he is a tense person. But he was super cool on the sets’. Plans are on for release of the movie 17 May.
