Chennai: Ankeet Bawane (100 not out) and Baba Indrajith (112 not out) scored unbeaten centuries as Jolly Rovers declared at 434 for three against Alwarpet Cricket Club in the final of the TNCA First Division League at the IIT-M Chemplast Ground here on Thursday.
Continuing on its overnight first innings score of 236 for three, Rovers added another 198 runs without losing a wicket. Bawane and Indrajith stitched 231 runs for the unbroken fourth-wicket partnership. While Bawane managed only five boundaries during his patient 217-ball knock, Indrajith hit seven fours and a solitary maximum. In reply to Rovers\92 mammoth total, Alwarpet was 123 for three at stumps on day two. With only a day’s play (9.15 am start) ?remaining, Alwarpet will have to up the ante if it has any aspirations of clinching the title.
