Chennai: Arvind Foundation, a charitable organisation for children with special needs is inviting applications for the forthcoming academic year. Special children within 14 years of age can apply.
According to a press release, Arvind Foundation’s Arvindniketan, functions at K K Nagar. Here, the children with all types of disabilities are taught various topics in a professional manner that in due course the children not only learn but also become confident and competent.
In fact, the purpose of the education is to make them independent through a gradual process, the release said.
Parents can approach the school authorities at Arvindniketan at 387, 27th Street, 6th Sector, K K Nagar, to discuss in detail and secure admission.
The school functions from Monday to Friday with three terms in a year. On completing 15th year of age, the students are given training in vocational projects in the Arvind Institute of Vocational Excellence, also situated at K K Nagar. The school reopens 3 June.
