Sulur: A day after Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao met DMK chief MK Stalin,  Tamilnadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami questioned M K Stalin’s double standards with regards to forming an alliance.

Speaking at a campaign for Sulur candidate for the coming by-polls in Coimbatore, the CM said, “DMK chief had announced (Congress president) Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Ministerial candidate. But now he is meeting Chandrasekhar Rao. Why this double standards?”

Palaniswamy further slammed the Opposition party in the State for seeking the TN Assembly Speaker’s removal after he issued notice to three party legislators for siding with rival leader T T V Dhinakaran.

He said that the judgment had already been written by the people and that it would be revealed on 23 May.

Palaniswami further claimed that Stalin and TTV Dhinakaran of AMMK had entered into a secret pact to topple the AIADMK government. “Stalin is resorting to various tactics fearing loss. Soon after the Government whip submitted a petition against the three MLAs, DMK moved a no-confidence motion against the Speaker,” he said.
