Chennai: The scientific advisor of former president A P J Abdul Kalam, V Ponraj,  today held discussions with actor Rajinikanth at his Poes Garden residence in Chennai.

Sources say that the two of them discussed the current political situation.

It may be recalled that Rajinikanth had announced that he would enter politics and contest the 2021 Assembly elections.

Ponraj, apart from being a scientific adviser of the former president, has also launched a party.

He formally launched the Abdul Kalam Vision India Party 28 February 2016.

However, Kalam’s family expressed its displeasure over the party using his name and portrait.
