Chennai: Sundaram Honda, leading dealerships for Honda Cars in India, has announced that it has sold one lakh cars in the States of Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
A release stated that the first car was sold in January 1998, 40,000 cars were sold in 14 years four months and the balance 60,000 (cumulative one lakh) was sold in just six years 11 months.
Sundaram Motors is currently involved in sales and service of leading car brands Honda, Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen and after market parts distribution.
Executive director, Sundaram Motors, Sharath Vijayaraghavan, said, “Reaching the one lakh milestone and being the largest retailer of Honda cars in India for five years in a row, is a proud moment for all of us at Sundaram Motors. Honda city model has been the largest contributor to the company’s sales followed by compact sedan Amaze and Jazz hatchback. We have been able to develop the business due to our shared values of transparency, highest standards of integrity, respect for people, (and) disciplined approach to business.”
