Lok Sabha elections have reached their climax. The last and seventh phase of polling will be held tomorrow and campaigning has come to a close. The political situation is getting hot and hotter with parties already starting to claim success. They have begun work to find ways and means to form a government at the Centre after the counting of votes 23 May. Though it is predominantly a war between Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi, the regional parties are betting big. The cry for a Third Front is getting louder and louder.
Addressing mediapersons in New Delhi after campaigning, Modi asserted that his government will return to power with full majority. Exuding confidence, Modi said that the BJP will get full majority and return to power. BJP chief Amit Shah said the party will get more than 300 seats along with the pre-poll allies. Interestingly, he said it would be a coalition government at the Centre. And Congress chief Rahul Gandhi chose to play it safe. Addressing mediapersons , he lashed out at Modi and said he forgot why people elected him. On opposition alliance, he said the party will decide on the basis of results.
Everything will come to a boil 23 May. The results are awaited with bated breath. The BJP and Congress left no stone unturned as they went on attacking mode. There were allegations, counter-allegations and war of words between the two parties. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, Rahul and Modi addressed hundreds of rallies. The parties have done their bit. It is over to EVMs that will decide the fate of the nation. Who will win? The wait will end in just five days.
