
Chennai: In a dramatic turn of events, the police who are probing the tragic incident of three members of a family from Tindivanam being killed in an air-conditioner blast, now suspect it to be murder.
The incident took place 15 May and the victims Raju (60), his wife Kala (52), and their son Goutham (24) were charred to death in an alleged A-C explosion.
The three were sleeping in a room at their residence in Kaveripakkam. They died after the fire quickly spread across the mattress and, eventually the entire room, at 3 am.

However, Raju’s other son, Govardhan, and daughter-in-law, sleeping in another room, escaped.
As per reports, Govardhan could have been involved in their deaths and are probing the angle.
The police said Raju had received a blow on his head while he was on fire. The injury mark has got police probing further into the case.
It may be noted that Goutham was to be married 6 June.
