Chennai: Sleuths of National Investigation Agency (NIA) raided a house in Kattumannarkoil, Chidambaram.

According to sources, the search was conducted at the residence of one Rasheed. The surprise checks resulted in the seizure of a number of electronic gadgets. The team confiscated a laptop, four pen drives, seven mobile phones and eight sim cards, sources claimed.

Further investigations are underway in this regard. It may be noted that following the Easter Day bomb blasts in Sri Lanka, NIA has been carrying out investigations in Tamilnadu. Several extremist groups have come under the scanner.
