Former Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh visits Rameswaram temple

Rameswaram: Raman Singh, the former Chhattisgarh chief minister, along with his family members visited the Lord Ramanathaswamy temple in Rameswaram yesterday and offered prayers.

Speaking to reporters here, he exuded confidence that BJP-led NDA would return to power at the Centre by winning 300 seats and all 11 Lok Sabha seats in Chhattisgarh.

When questioned about the Prime Minister’s visit to Kedarnath and Badrinath after the election campaigns, Singh slammed the opposition parties for questioning Narendra Modi’s pilgrim visit.

Modi has been visiting Kedarnath for the past 40 years and that there was nothing wrong in offering prayers at the temples for the well being of the country, Singh added.
