Thoothukudi: DMK candidate Kanimozhi (Tuticorin constituency) is now leading by more than 30,400 votes in 2019 general elections. It is to be noted that BJP’s Tamilisai Soundararajan, President of Tamilnadu Bharatiya Janata Party is contesting against Kanimozhi in the same constituency.
Kanimozhi is the Secretary to the DMK party’s Women’s wing and she has served as the member of Rajya Sabha twice.Kanimozhi was alleged by the CBI as the “active brain” in the “2G spectrum” scam. She was then acquitted after Court said that the prosecution failed to prove any of its charge.
