Chennai: With the DMK-led Social Progressive Front leading in 36 seats among the 39 constituencies in Tamilnadu and Puducherry, it is not surprising that VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan is leading in Chidambaram.
Thirumavalavan has so far polled 25,323 votes while his nearest rival, P Chandrasekar of the AIADMK, has polled 24,270 votes in the reserve constituency.
The Dalit leader is leading in the constituency that is seeing contest by P Chandrasekar (AIADMK), M Sivajothi of Naam Tamilar Katchi and T Ravi (Kamal Haasan’s Makkal Needhi Maiam) and T T V Dhinakaran’s AMMK.
