Chennai: Bengaluru-based online train ticket booking engine, Confirmtkt has announced the launch of its multilingual app that is also available in Tamil and in seven different regional languages.

With the addition of new languages to its platform, Confirmtkt has witnessed a 1.8 per cent increase in its user base, a number which is expected to go up manifold in the upcoming months, said a release.

Co-founder and CEO, Confirmtkt, Dinesh Kumar Kotha, said, “Over 50 per cent of Confirmtkt’s users are from non-metros and they prefer to browse in their native language. Moreover, some users were not able to navigate through the payment section due to their lack of English proficiency. We want to offer a seamless ticket-booking experience to people; irrespective of their background or the language they speak. From a strategic point of view, we decided to go vernacular keeping in mind the next wave of non-English speaking internet users.”
