Thumbaa, a VFX-heavy film stars Darshan of Kanaa fame, Dheena and Keerthi Pandian in lead roles.
It is directed by Harish Ram, who worked as an assistant to RS Durai Senthilkumar on films like Ethir Neechal, Kaaki Sattai, and Kodi. The film will have music by multiple composers – Anirudh, Vivek-Mervin and Santhosh Dayanidhi. The film is produced by Surekha Nyapati.
Buzz is that Jayam Ravi plays a cameo in the movie. “We are overwhelmed with Jayam Ravi accepting to be part of the Thumbaa. We were happy when he gave his nod,” said producer Surekha Nyapati.
Thumbaa has garnered huge expectations after Anirudh’s special video with Tigress Thumbaa that was followed by release of single tracks and trailer. “All credit goes to director. When a filmmaker’s idea is firm and strong, everything falls right in place. We are confident that kids and family audiences will surely love it,” he adds.
Thumbaa will be out 21 June. Cinematography is by Naresh Elan, editing is by Kalaivanan and dialogues are by Ram Raghav and Prabhakaran.Ā KJR Studios Kotapadi J Rajesh has acquired the worldwide theatrical rights.
